I use it for two reasons: 1. If I need to sleep in a noisy area - excellent at blocking out noises. 2. When Im stressed out and having trouble falling asleep. Distracting enough to take my focus off of things, soothing enough to not actually keep me from sleeping. Plus you can simulate any sort of noise (thats calming) and there are plenty of pre-made options if youre not sure about what you prefer. I personally enjoy the combination of light rain, urban sounds, and a running engine. Reminds me of the long road trips I used to take as a child. Very relaxing.
